Dude, have you got a contract with Emel mag? I've written to their editor twice last year in order to contribute/write towards EMEL magazine. I even got a response saying something like 'were always looking out for contributors and would welcome an article' from you. After my reply, nothing, nada!
Do they just seek out the typical muslim professional speakers/contributors like City Circle?
No, it's all a bit ad hoc really. This particular article happened to come into existence by virtue of the photgrapher (a friend) knowing the deputy editor.
