Death by Breakfast

During the midst of a wonderfully eclectic chat yesterday the conversation turned to the immensity of our respective Sunday breakfasts. So I thought I'd have a scientific look at the composition of a typical 'Day of Rest' breakfast in my household.

Sweet condensed milk (1oz/28g)91 calories
Fried egg x192 calories
Paratha x2600 calories
Clotted cream (1oz/28g)265 calories
Total1048 calories

By way of comparison, a typical English breakfast (2 rashers of bacon, 1 sausage, 1 fried egg, baked beans, 1 slice of white toast, mushrooms and 1 grilled tomato) consists of 540 calories. A Coffee shop special in the form of a Starbucks white chocolate and strawberry muffin and grande latte with whole milk would endow 843 calories on a consumer.

I'm off to the gym.

Not much of a breakfast, if only 1048 calories (i.e. 1.05 kcal, cf. negligible compared to the daily requirement of approx 2000). We recommend adding at least half a dozen puris and Weymouth clotted cream to your breakfast to make up any deficiency.

P.S. after your puri breakfast, perhaps you could fix the hyper links (e.g. paratha). We foggies in Weymouth cannot navigate back to your home page without crashing! (Probably need few more calories in our breakfast).

Ah! I see what you mean. It seems to be specific to Wikipedia, they must have some sort of code to prevent people navigating away from their site! Shouldn't crash the computer though. Perhaps it's time to upgrade from the old Spectrum ZX2.

The puris and clotted cream combo breakfast should easily ensure one's daily calorie intake being reached in one sitting. Follow that with biryani, mango lassi etc and we're really talking.
